Rex is the clinical director for PT Rex Sports Medicine. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist. Rex graduated in 2008 with a bachelor degrees in physical therapy from China Medical University in Taiwan, where he was also a basketball and volleyball player for his PT school. He received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Pittsburgh in 2014 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2018.

Rex began his career in a private practice in Midtown Manhattan in New York. He spent 3 years as a lead physical therapist in a multidisciplinary setting working with medical doctors, chiropractors, massage therapist and personal trainers. He then joined Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital where served as a senior physical therapist. In addition to working in the hospital, he also works with Team USA since 2019 through the United States Olympic Committee's rotation for medical providers. He served as a sports physical therapist in rotation working with many Olympian/Paralympian at Olympics Training Center in Colorado Spring and Chula Vista.

Rex has spent the vast majority of his career working with the general population and athletic population including collegiate, amateur, and professional athletes. He has treated a wide range of orthopedic and sports conditions throughout his career. He has s specific focus on advanced treatment of the knee and low back pain. 

Rex spends the majority of his free time with his beautiful wife Mamie. They love food and they enjoy trying new restaurants every weekend.
